THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WREXHAM AFC

Wrexham Association Football Club

Wrexham AFC is a professional football club and the pride of the town of Wrexham, Wales. Founded in 1864, it is one of the oldest football clubs in the world. The club has a rich and storied history, having played in the English Football League for over 80 years, and has a passionate fanbase, despite spending more than 15 years outside of the league pyramid.

Despite facing financial difficulties in recent years, Wrexham AFC has continued to thrive on and off the pitch. In 2021, the club made headlines around the world when it was taken over by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The takeover injected a renewed sense of excitement and optimism into the club, with fans eagerly anticipating what was to come. They faithful reds were finally rewarded for their loyal support on April 22nd 2023, when "The Red Dragons" secured both promotion and the National League Championship with a 3-1 home win against Boreham Wood.
